DYNAUDIO not working on my notebook.

My notebook, an MSI FX603, a very good one for the price, came with DYNAUDIO audio. I can't seem to find the drivers to make it work, and Windows Update doesn't offer it either.

I went to the DYNAUDIO site, and was referred back to MSI. Is this an OEM program, that only installs on the OEM install (Windows 7 Pro x64)?

    I miss it!

Have you tried the Windows 7 drivers. I would expect them to work.
You may want to run the setup program if applicable using compatibility mode (Windows 7) and maybe even check the box that says Run As Administrator. (setup.exe right click and choose properties then compatibility tab)

I apologize in advance for any unintended hurt. Best regards Randy.

I'll try those out & see. There was a driver disk that came with the notebook, but figured that the programs/drivers were only for Win 7.

Hopefully, that will do the trick.

YOu may want to try here MSI Global ? Notebook - FX603 just to make sure you are installing the latest.
The drivers seem to reflect a RealTek sound card, although it doesn't look exactly like a conventional realtek driver.
You may also need the THX AP under utilities. Not sure.
Make sure to pick your architecture 32 or 64 bit from the drop down.

Re: DYNAUDIO not working on my notebook.

I got those last night, the latest drivers from that site. Dynaudio & THX isn't working properly. I'm going to try to install those drivers in compatibility mode & see what happens.

It's my hope that MSI will offer support for Windows 8 on these notebooks, mine's only a year old. But one thing that I've found to be no good is MSI's "Live Update 5". Garbage. Otherwise, the MSI is a good notebook with lots of hardware for the price. Got it at Newegg for $749. This past November, when Newegg was practically giving away RAM, I got a 8GB (4GB x2) set of GSKILL DDR3 1333 10666 RAM for only $29.99. It already had 6GB, but at that price, I took it.

It may take a bit of time, but Windows 8 is going to be fantastic. On my desktop, which is a very low spec one (1.5GHz CPU), Windows 7 Pro x64 was always pegging the CPU. Not so with Windows 8 CP. Look.

I found the issue. What I needed was the Realtek audio drivers (64bit_Vista_Win7_R267), the latest of which I found on File Hippo. Took care of the THX AP deal also. That panel was there, but shaded out because no sound driver was installed.

Now, I can fine tune everything, from the THX panel, just as on my Win 7 install.

    Thanks a lot.
