As long as you have a valid Win 7 key you can download the Win 7 iso file that includes SP1 directly from Digital River and use your key to unlock the correct version of Win 7. It might be better to install the Win 8 Dev Preview in either a Virtual Environment within Win 7 or on a separate partition so your Win 7 OS is not changed. This would save you having to reinstall all your apps. Even better, create an Image of your Win 7 partition after you have set Win 7 up and customized it to your liking, and installed all your apps. I create new Images whenever I change my OS (add or remove apps, install updates, etc). When I need to restore from my latest Image, it takes about 10 minutes.
