Burning files to disk?
Hi
Here's something that could be easier.
I wanted to burn two folders to a CD.
I opened up the containing folder in Windows Explorer.
I selected both folders and went to Share, Burn to Disk.
It said that I needed to put in a disk, it didn't give my any options to select a drive.
I opened and closed the drive again, it still said that I needed to put in a disk.
I went to Computer and saw that the disk was shown there, so I clicked on it.
The green bar went across the top and then the disk became readable.
I went back to the folders I was trying to copy and clicked Burn Files to Disk, again.
It now gave me the message "You have files waiting to be burned to disk".
Ok, good, where is the burn button.
There isn't one?
I tried right clicking on the folders on the burn to disk button in the background of the drive.
No luck.
Finally I right clicked on the Containing folder, not the ones I wanted to copy.
There in that drop down was a command burn files to disk.
I clicked on it, and it burned the files to the disk.
What's wring with just having a button at the top that says burn files to disk?
When you click that it opens a navigation window and asks you what drive to you want to burn the files to, (I have two DVD CD drives) I select the drive say OK and it burns the disk?
I always thought that the process was messy in W7 but this is even worse, W7 at least had a burn button.
