I have a somewhat unusual means of talking on Skype . I use a usb sound card and a Large Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone .
I plug a set of earphones into the sound card and use the mic for transmitting speech . The quality of the audio is amazing .
It is a rather expensive means of chatting. I also utilise a vocal processor to tune my speech . Overkill really but I also use it for music production so I am just getting maximum use out of it
