Thread: Everything is up and running!!!

I think that everything I use is up and running now.

Yesterday the video driver issue was taken care of, with a new driver from ATI that supports openGL and runs in Windows 8.

I contacted TextAloud a few days ago about the fact that my Lucy voice didn't work in Windows 8.

They in turn contacted Acapela the people who create voices for text readers and told them about my problems.

Today they sent me a new Lucy Voice designed to work in Windows 8.
My thanks to both of them for following through.

That was the last thing I know of that kept me from doing my video stuff in W8, so tomorrow I'll get busy and do something.

That's great to hear, Mike! My apps are also working now, all of them. Windows 8 CP has became my default OS, actually it did a couple of weeks ago, but I still had some thing to learn to get me going good.

And am still learning. Looking for these great VM features & how to use them.

I feel that Windows 8 will benefit many, mabye not all, but a lot. Hopefully by summer pricing will be announced, so that we'll have an idea about cost & choices of OS's. The Professional versions of Windows normally has the features that I desire the most, hopefully it'll be priced reasonably.

I am far down the trail from being a religius devotee, but, I wish to throw everything I can at Windows 8, to test it! I was impressed by the clarity, of the Bible. But, if anyone has tried it, have you discovered a way to page, rather than have to keep selecting a page each time.
