It’s a great day for Windows enthusiastic and developers, Microsoft has released Windows 8 Developers Preview after the Windows 8 Build developers conference. The Windows Developer Preview is a pre-beta version of Windows 8 for developers.

System Requirements

Windows Developer Preview works great on the same hardware that powers Windows Vista and Windows 7:

• 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
• 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
• 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
• DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
• Taking advantage of touch input requires a screen that supports multi-touch

Note: It's been reported issue install Windows 8 on VMWare. But it works fine on VirtualBox. It';s recommend to install in on VirtualBox. Also Windows Developer Preview with developer tools will not allow you to upgrade, you can upgrade Windows Developer Preview English, 64-bit (x64) & Windows Developer Preview English, 32-bit (x86).

I just tried, in vain, to install a wireless N lan adapter and the install failed, but, Win-8 did download and install Dot Net Framework 3.5.??

So 8102 is capable of downloading things from MS. Eh?
